SEOUL, Sept. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Fire extinguishers placed at some 16,000 GS25 convenience stores across the country will become available to the public.
The National Fire Agency said Wednesday that anyone can now use the fire extinguishers placed at nearby GS25 outlets.
The change is the result of an agreement signed by the agency and GS Retail Co., operator of GS25, aiming at establishing on and offline platforms for public safety.
Currently, all fire stations nationwide are offering free replacements for fire extinguishers used to put out fires.
Most fires can be put out at an early stage with a fire extinguisher. A lack of fire extinguishers has frequently been a major cause of large-size fires and casualties.
