SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — Genesis, Hyundai Motor Co.’s independent luxury brand, announced Monday that it plans to offer a new subscription plan for its vehicles.
Genesis Spectrum is the country’s first monthly subscription program to be launched by a domestic automaker, and allows users to gain easy access to a wide variety of Genesis models.
The program recently completed its pilot test in May after being introduced to the market in December 2018.
Based on test results, Genesis decided to offer the G80 and GV80 in the subscription plan and include the Seoul Metropolitan Area, Busan, and Jeju in its service area.
The monthly subscription fee rose from 1.49 million won to 1.89 million won (US$1,655).
Genesis also introduced a new daily plan for the G90, the brand’s flagship sedan, which allows users to rent the vehicle for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
All procedures including subscribing, selecting or exchanging vehicles as well as payment and cancellations can be completed via the Genesis Spectrum mobile app.
