SEOUL, June 16 (Korea Bizwire) — The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) announced that it will provide a free commentary program in Spanish at Gyeongbok Palace, one of the four royal palaces in Seoul, starting on Friday.
Spanish guide programs will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Anyone who wishes to join the program can go to the free commentary post set up past Heungnyemun gate.
It is the first time for a Spanish guide program to be introduced at Seoul’s four Joseon-era palaces — Gyeongbok, Changdeok, Changgyeong and Deoksu.
“With more than 500 million people across the world speaking Spanish, we’re introducing a new Spanish guide program to accommodate Spanish-speaking tourists and offer them accurate information about the history and culture of the Joseon Dynasty,” the CHA said.
Aside from Spanish guide programs, Gyeongbok Palace currently provides commentary tours in English, Chinese, Indonesian and Vietnamese.
