SEOUL, May 14 (Korea Bizwire) — Galleries in the Heyri Art Village will hold the annual art marketplace “Art Road 77” until June 14. Starting from 2009, the galleries will hold an art fair and donate the profits to the international children’s relief agency “Save The Children.” The marketplace was named after National Road 77, which runs near the village. This year, under the theme of “With Art, With Artists!,” it will exhibit some 500 works representing 77 emerging artists.
It also includes a special exhibition displaying artworks donated by veteran artists such as Bae Byung-woo and Baek Soon-sil. Heyri Art Village is home to some of Korea’s most dedicated artists, architects and authors, forming a creative residential and artistic space filled with studios, concert halls, galleries, museums, bookstores and cafes. The village, located less than an hour from Seoul, provides a place for people to appreciate both nature and culture.
