SEOUL, July 19 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean home appliance makers have intensified their efforts to offer specialized repair services in the Chungcheong area, which has suffered extensive damage from recent flooding and landslides.
Samsung Electronics Service Co., a warranty service arm of Samsung Electronics Co., said Tuesday it would dispatch teams to the city of Cheongju and Goesan County in North Chungcheong Province, as well as Gongju in South Chungcheong Province, to provide dedicated repair services.
The service teams will visit community service centers and senior facilities to establish pop-up service centers, where they will offer services such as cleaning waterlogged home appliances and conducting complimentary inspections.
Additionally, the company will dispatch buses equipped with cellphone check-up facilities to deliver on-the-go services, including cleaning and drying submerged cellphones, as well as providing free inspections.
LG Electronics Inc. has also established temporary service centers at community service centers in Cheongju and Gongju to contribute to the recovery efforts following the floods.
These temporary service centers will conduct free inspections on submerged home appliances, irrespective of their manufacturers, and offer services such as cleaning, repairing, and replacing parts.
LG will also extend home visit services, where service managers will be dispatched to the residences of flood victims to provide various repair services.
