SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Co. and its affiliate Kia Motors Corp. on Tuesday unveiled a vehicle-mounted electric scooter with a “total mobility solution” for the beginning to the end of one’s travel.
Hyundai-Kia reported that it is considering mounting the electric scooter as an optional feature on new cars starting from 2021.
Electric scooters mounted in vehicles are automatically charged by utilizing electricity generated when driving the car.
The scooter will feature a 10.5 Ah lithium battery and will be able to travel about 20 kilometers on a single charge, with the maximum speed limited to 20 kilometers per hour.
