SEOUL, June 17 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean top carmaker Hyundai Motor Co. has set off to take care of the “hearts” of employees.
The company on Thursday invited renowned pediatric psychologist Dr. Oh Eun-young to its headquarters in southern Seoul to hold a counseling event.
The aim of the event was for employees to share their concerns and thoughts about relationships, family, and work, and try to come up with solutions.
The event was planned under the belief that “the basis of a healthy organization comes from healthy members,” aimed at consoling employees who had to go through drastic changes in life during the pandemic, Hyundai said.
The two-hour event was based on 374 cases among applications submitted last month and summarized them into five big questions that were presented to the audience. Dr. Oh shared her views on the concerns and advised solutions.
Some 800 people participated in the event. Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Euisun Chung was also present, listening to the various insights offered by Dr. Oh alongside other employees.
