SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Co. released a video of a light show performed by more than 1,000 drones over downtown Seoul in celebration of the new year to send out a message of hope.
The company posted a five-minute video of a ‘2021 Countdown Drone Light Show’ on its official YouTube channel on Friday.
The video showed some 1,000 drones flying over Seoul to create various shapes including automobiles and the company logo, as well as countdowns and the image of an ox to celebrate the new year.
The company has been holding countdown ceremonies every year since 2011, accompanied by large-scale performances and fireworks.
This year, the ceremony was replaced with a pre-recorded video of a drone light show given the limitations imposed by the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing protocols.
