SEOUL, Korea, Sep 11 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor said on September 11 that it would provide unlimited music content to ten schools for hearing-impaired children to which it had donated its “Sonata touchable music seat” systems. As part of a wider CSR program “Sonata the Brilliant Sound Project” to offer beautiful music sounds to deaf and hard-of-hearing students, Hyundai Motor has pursued since last May an alliance with Soribada Inc., peer-to-peer music distributor.
Through the partnership the two companies could allow students in the ten special schools to enjoy streaming music by giving them free IDs. The touchable music seat system can be connected with other multimedia devices such as the beam projector and computer so that the children could “listen” to music. In addition, the companies will offer the music teachers in these schools to use Soribada’s “Sori Edu” service so that they could teach their pupils music in a more systematic way.
A Hyundai Motor official said, “We hope the Sonata the Brilliant Sound Project could give the hearing impaired opportunities to enjoy music and feel the joy of life.” In June, the company held a promotional event to collect encouraging messages from 50,000 participants for delivery to the children.
