SEJONG, March 9 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea’s largest carmaker, will recall a total of 25,441 Equus and Genesis luxury sedans for problems with their windshield wipers, the transportation ministry said Wednesday.
The models’ windshield wiper motors were found to have defects that lead to malfunctions in their operation and affect driving in case of the inclement weather, said the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The problem has been detected in 10,978 Equus sedans produced between July 10, 2011, and June 12, 2012, and 14,463 Genesis sedans manufactured between Aug. 1, 2011, and April 30, 2012.
Free repair services will be available starting March 28 at Hyundai service centers throughout the country.’
