SEOUL, Nov. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — The Ministry of the Interior and Safety released a selection of the seven best children’s playgrounds on Monday to foster a culture of safe playground environment.
The playgrounds were chosen from a list of recommendations submitted by local governments and municipal or provincial offices of education, based on the level of safety, maintenance, design and contributions to child development.
The outdoor playground at the Honam National Institute of Biological Resources consists of a 10-meter-tall, ribbon-shaped giant slide, a zipline and a spinning stand that’s designed for both disabled and non-disabled children.
The children’s playground at Gwacheon National Science Museum consists of a slide, a net, a swing and other facilities that decorate the space into a solid, harmonious environment.
With the 8-meter-tall giant slide acting as the lead attraction, the facilities have been painted yellow, maximizing visibility as well as the unity of design.
