SEOUL, June 15 (Korea Bizwire) — Popular K-pop groups are showing up on a string of TV programs targeting older viewers.
Yoo Hwe-seung and Kim Jae-hyun, members of the rap-rock band N.Flying, were participated as panel members on KBS 1TV’s popular program “Authentic Masterpieces” on Sunday.
Given that the main audience of this program is the older generations, the boy band’s participation in the TV program is arousing curiosity.
“The boy band parodied the TV program in the music video for their brand-new album ‘Oh really.’ This became an opportunity for them to participate in the TV program,” said FNC Entertainment, the agency representing N.Flying.
N.Flying is not alone. Sensational K-pop girl band TWICE showed up on KBS 1TV’s long-running program “6 O’clock My Hometown” on June 3 and visited a village in Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi province.
This program is popular among older Koreans.
Instead of wearing the elaborate attire that they typically wear on stage, group members wore loose work trousers and engaged in rice planting.
