SEOUL, April 28 (Korea Bizwire) — Kakao Mobility Corp., South Korea’s leading taxi-hailing firm, said Wednesday it will begin testing the pet-exclusive cab service KakaoT Pet on its Kakao T application.
Kakao T Pet is a pet taxi service designed in accordance with the Animal Protection Act. The service is available in all locations in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi Province.
Customers who wish to ride a taxi with their pets can make a cab reservation at a location of their choice via the Kakao T app until 30 minutes prior to departure.
For those who need a round trip for taking their pets to the veterinary clinic, a taxi can be reserved for a designated time frame.
Once the service is complete, customers can pay the fare with their credit cards pre-registered to the app.
Service charges, starting at 8,000 won (US$6.29), may vary based on real-time demand.
