SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — The South Korean baseball league said Wednesday it will launch a voice narration service catering to visually impaired baseball fans.
The service will be available at three baseball stadiums in Seoul, Busan and Gwangju — namely Jamsil Baseball Stadium, Sajik Baseball Stadium and Gwangju-Kia Champions Field — and will commence this Friday.
According to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), individuals with visual disabilities will have the opportunity to rent a miniature FM radio device at the stadium.
With this device, they can enjoy a live broadcast of the game while simultaneously listening to the television commentary via radio.
The KBO conducted a trial run of this new service at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium last month in collaboration with the Korea Blind Union.
The KBO has confirmed that these radio devices will be readily available at the information desk of each baseball stadium.
