Korea Forest Services Extends Consultation Program

DAEJEON, Feb. 8 (Korea Bizwire)According to the Korea Forest Service on Thursday, a consultation service to prevent forest disease and insect pests featuring retired public officials will continue this year.

The consultation was introduced in 2017 to utilize exemplary retired government employees with expertise and experience as human assets of the nation.

This year, 15 retired public officials will serve as advisors to promote the extermination of forest pests.

The officials will be responsible for passing on their expertise and experience such as prevention strategies and improving methods of pest control, which are implemented by local governments and competent forestry authorities.

The advisors who participated in last year’s project conducted 3,565 activities from February to December, including consulting, field inspections, and technical guidance for the work force.
