Korea Post to Release PyeongChang Paralympics Stamps this Week

SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Korea Bizwire)Korea Post said Wednesday it will begin selling commemorative stamps for the PyeongChang Winter Paralympics later this week.

A total of 800,000 copies of 10 stamps will be sold with the PyeongChang Paralympics mascot Bandabi, an Asiatic black bear, appearing on the stamps doing alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hockey and snowboarding, it said.

The stamps will be available at 220 major post offices across the country and at the Korea Post website (www.epost.go.kr).

Each stamp sells for 330 won (US$0.31).

“We hope the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Games will serve as an occasion to make the whole world one, regardless of race, region and disability,” Kang Seong-ju, head of Korea Post, said.
