SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — Korean Air Lines Co., South Korea’s biggest carrier, on Thursday released name tags and golf ball markers made with parts from a Boeing 747-400 (HL7461), a retired aircraft.
The airline made souvenirs using materials produced while disassembling the old aircraft.
The HL7461, Korean Air’s last Boeing 747-400, was introduced in 1997. The aircraft flew for 23 years before it was retired in February of last year.
The name tags and golf ball markers, made with the outer parts of the aircraft fuselage, come in different colors and designs depending on which part the material comes from.
The name tags and golf ball markers are made with duralumin, which is a light and durable alloy. Only 4,000 of them will be sold in 1,000 packages.
