Korean Rescue Dogs Show Dedication in Rescue Efforts in Turkey

SEOUL, Feb. 16 (Korea Bizwire)Korean rescue dogs are gaining attention in Turkey as they continue their search and rescue operations at the site of the earthquake despite foot injuries.

TRT Haber, a Turkish state broadcaster, spotlighted the rescue efforts made by the rescue dogs in an article titled “3 Korean Rescue Dogs Continue Search Despite Foot Injuries.”

The Korea Disaster Relief Team (KDRT) is currently active at the site of the earthquake. The team includes four rescue canines, all of whom completed two years of training.

Three of the four dogs were hurt by broken glass and other debris while dutifully carrying out their rescue efforts.

The dogs were temporarily sent off for medical treatment, and then returned to the field, continuing their search and rescue operations with their feet wrapped in bandages, TRT Haber said.

KDRT members are reportedly carrying the dogs themselves in particularly hazardous areas.
