SEOUL, Jul. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — Hite Jinro Co., a major South Korean liquor producer, said Monday that it had held a series of promotional events in Paris, France, and London, England, to introduce Korean liquor.
Hite Jinro opened a pop-up store dubbed “Corea Spirit 2019″ in Paris on May 29, and previously held a club party for “A Midsummer Night’s Jinro” in London on May 23.
“We will prepare opportunities to experience Korean liquor culture for locals in Europe, and strengthen the European market by promoting soju and fruit liqueur,” Hite Jinro explained.
In the first five months of this year, beer sales in European countries, including Britain, France, Germany and Russia, jumped 66.4 percent on-year, with soju also rising 50.3 percent.
