SEOUL, Nov. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — A recent survey showed that South Korean consumers’ favorite SUVs are the Genesis GV80 and Volvo XC90.
Encar.com, an online used car dealer platform, conducted a survey of 1,445 people asking about their favorite outdoor and leisure vehicle, 25.8 percent of whom chose the GV80 (373 people) as the top choice among Korean cars.
Another 18.4 percent chose the Volvo XC90 (266 people) as their favorite vehicle among imported cars.
Respondents chose the GV80 for its ‘high-quality design’, and its suitability for ‘luxury camping and golf activities’. Those who chose XC90 picked ‘safety’ as the top reason.
Among Korean-made cars, the GV80 was followed by the Kia Carnival minivan (18.8 percent), Hyundai Palisade (17.2 percent) and Kia Sorento (6.3 percent).
Among imported cars, the XC90 was followed by the Land Rover Discovery (15.6 percent), BMW X5 (15.4 percent), Jeep Wrangler (14.2 percent) and Mercedes-Benz GLE (13.2 percent).
