SEOUL, Jan. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – KT Corp. opened Monday GiGA VR Experience Zones at KT Square in Gwanghwamun and the Hologram Performance Hall at Lotte FitIn Dongdaemun.
Each of the zones offer three types of VR experiences.
The first is VR Rolling Sky, a moving ride that explores tourist attractions in Seoul and Pyeongchang along with Twice, a local girl group, while VR Dream Walks is a less intense walking tour of Myeongdong streets with users wearing a head mounted display.
The VR K-Spot Tour offers VR views of other attractions in Korea, including Haeundae (Busan), Seongsan Ilchulbong (Jeju), and the Boseong Green Tea Plantation.
“The experience zones are our first step towards expanding our VR ventures form online to offline,” said a KT official. “We’ll continue our cooperation with other businesses to offer differentiated virtual reality experiences.”
