Levy Restaurants Denies Deal with Genesis BBQ

SEOUL, April 30 (Korea Bizwire)Levy Restaurants, a food service operator at major sports stadiums in the U.S., dismissed a statement released by Genesis BBQ about its advance into American sports facilities.

On April 27, Genesis BBQ, a South Korean fried chicken chain, released a statement saying that it had entered into an agreement with the U.S. restaurant to supply its products to Levy’s shops and kiosks at 92 sports facilities for football, baseball and basketball games.

However, Levy denied the existence of any agreement with the South Korean company on April 29.

Kara Cook, vice president of Finn Partners, the PR Agency for Levy Restaurants, told The Korea Bizwire, “There is no such deal between Genesis BBQ and Levy Restaurants or the venues it represents, including Georgia Dome and Dodger Stadium. Levy Restaurants has been misrepresented by Genesis BBQ Group in these statements.”

The Korea Bizwire attempted to contact representatives from Genesis BBQ for comment, but the requests remain unanswered.
