SEOUL, Apr. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean panel maker LG Display Co. announced on Sunday the opening of a digital gallery featuring masterpieces by Vincent Van Gogh on its OLED TVs.
The company has set up a gallery under the name of “Loving Gogh” inside the “Meet Vincent Van Gogh” exhibition, which runs until August 25 at the Woojung Arts Center.
The gallery, which reinterprets Gogh’s work “Van Gogh’s Bedroom in Arles,” will place 77-inch LG OLED TVs at the site where the original’s window was located in the painting with 30 of Van Gogh’s representative works.
LG Display explained that the TVs installed have a paper-thin wallpaper design that makes the picture feel like it is attached to the wall and implements optimal picture quality through artificial intelligence technology.
The exhibition “Meet Vincent Van Gogh” was held in Beijing in 2016 and is being held for the third time in Seoul after Barcelona, Spain, in March of this year.
