SEOUL, May 29 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Hausys has launched Medistep origin, Korea’s first medical facility-specialized flooring, said the company on May 28.
Medistep origin is comprised of one layer, and is thus resistant to damage from loads, whereas existing flooring is usually made with multiple layers and is rather susceptible to weight-associated damages.
Currently, more than 90 percent of Korea’s medical facility flooring market is dominated by imports.
LG Hausys showed confidence that Medistep origin will become an alternative to imported flooring soon enough, as the product’s chemical and bacterial resistance are stronger than typical imports.
The company is determined not only to take back the Korean market, but also to expand into the Chinese flooring market with its new product.
