SEOUL, June 1 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean cosmetics giant LG Household & Health Care Co. said Wednesday its plans to establish a “bird park” within an existing park in the southeastern coastal city of Ulsan.
This initiative marks the company’s second environmental project following the successful creation of a “honeybee park” last year on a 15,500 square-meter plot of land in Ulju County.
Encompassing an area of 7,600 square meters, the bird park will boast a diverse array of plant life, including persimmon trees, cornelian cherry trees, and other vegetation that provides nourishment for birds.
Additionally, the park will feature artificial nests to ensure a safe and thriving environment for these avian creatures.
Visitors, especially children, will have the opportunity to witness the growth of birds while exploring the park’s various plant species and observing insects.
Furthermore, the park will organize biodiversity events catering to the interests of local residents, the company said.
