SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Korea Bizwire) — A total of 19 TVs made by LG Electronics Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. have been chosen as the best for viewing this year’s Super Bowl by Consumer Reports, according to the magazine’s website on Tuesday.
The LG and Samsung TV models are listed in the article “Best Super Bowl TV Deals for 2019″ by the U.S. nonprofit organization, which provides product ratings and reviews.
In total, 34 models manufactured by LG, Samsung and other global TV makers were recommended as the best deals.
“Our TV ratings, which cover nearly 270 tested models, include our evaluation of a TV’s viewing angle, its ability to minimize motion blur during fast-moving scenes, and the sound quality of the set’s built-in audio system,” the website said.
Four LG 4K TVs and as many Samsung models were among the 11 best products in the category for screens of 70 inches or larger.
Three LG TVs made the list of 11 best deals in the 65-inch, wide-screen category, with three Samsung products also included.
LG and Samsung had two models each recommended in the 55- to 60-inch category comprising the nine best deals. A Samsung TV made the list of the three best deals in the small-screen category of 55 inches or smaller.
“If you’re not going to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, the next best thing is watching the Patriots-Rams game on a big-screen 4K TV,” Consumer Reports said.
An industry source said Consumer Reports’ evaluation demonstrates the high performance of LG and Samsung TVs. “More than half the recommended brands came from South Korea, indicating South Korean manufacturers are leading the industry in performance.”
The 2019 Super Bowl is slated to take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Feb. 4.
