SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Korea Bizwire) – A mobile game with South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun as its main character will be released on the market soon in China, his agency said Wednesday.
Keyeast Entertainment said the social networking game called “Kim Soo-hyun Star Academy” will be on the market on Thursday in which the TV superstar will play the lead role in the simulation of various entertainment activities.
In the mobile game, the player can become a rookie artist and grow into a celebrity through such activities as photography, appearing on entertainment programs and making movies while working closely with Kim’s character.
Keyeast said that the game will attract Chinese people’s enthusiasm for hallyu, the Korean cultural wave, as well as the famed Korean actor.
“The social networking game provides a variety of situations such as a lifestyle in the entertainment business, fashion styling and a romance with Kim,” an official of the company said.
“We’ll start the game with Chinese language services first and then spread through the whole Asian region,” he said.

Keyeast provides the content of the game, while its affiliated company, Contents N, and China’s mobile game company Chukong Technologies are co-producers.
Kim rose to stardom by appearing in the fantasy-romance drama “My Love from the Star,” which tells the story of an alien from outer space who falls in love with a top actress.
The hit drama series rapidly gained wider audience appeal in China, with actress Jun Ji-hyun becoming a household name among young Chinese people.
