SEOUL, Aug. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — The original soundtrack (OST) of Netflix’s globally popular animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters (KDEH) continues to make a strong presence on the UK Official Singles Chart.
As of August 8, the song “Golden,” performed by the fictional girl group HuntRix, remained at number two for the seventh consecutive week. This track, which debuted at number 93, climbed to the top of the charts, reaching number one—marking the first K-pop song to do so since Psy’s “Gangnam Style” in 2012.
Other notable tracks from the KDEH OST also performed well, with the boy group, Saja Boys, placing “Soda Pop” at number six and “Your Idol” at number eight. Additionally, the girl group TWICE’s “Take Down” reached number 47, and their song “Strategy” secured the 64th spot.
In addition to KDEH, BLACKPINK’s new song “JUMP” rose to number 35, maintaining a four-week streak on the chart, while member Rosé’s global hit “APT.” climbed five spots to number 39, marking its 42nd consecutive week on the chart.
Finally, the girl group CAT’S EYE, a joint project between HYBE and a U.S. company, saw their track “Gabriela” re-enter the chart at number 97.
