SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — Nissan Korea has officially launched the Qashqai on November 11. Debuted in 2007, the Qashqai is the global best-selling model for Nissan, with the cumulative sales number in excess of 2 million. The Qashqai presented to Korean consumers this time is a second-generation model introduced first time in Europe early this year. It was ranked No. 1 in sales number among Europe’s SUV models for the first half of 2014. Nissan showcased the Qashqai first in the Busan Motor Show this year.
The 1.6-liter diesel Qashqai boasts the maximum output of 131 hp/4,000 rpm and the maximum torque of 32.6kg.m. It comes equipped with the Xtronic CVT transmission that supports the 7-speed manual mode. The average fuel efficiency is 15.3 km/liter (16.6 km/liter for highway and 14.4 km/liter for city).
