GANGNEUNG, July 7 (Korea Bizwire) — Anmok Beach, located off the city of Gangneung in Gangwon Province, is now ready to welcome visitors and their pets as preparations for the grand opening have concluded.
The municipality has designated a 100-meter coastal strip on the northern side of the beach, where Gangneung Port and Coffee Street are located, to accommodate both humans and pets.
To ensure that there is no contact between pets and other beachgoers, the city will erect a 100-meter long and 30-meter wide fence.
Within this area, there will be two pet-exclusive pools. Each pool will measure 7 meters in length and 6 meters in width.
The pools will be operated separately to accommodate different types of dogs.
Consequently, pets will not be allowed to enter the ocean to prevent the spread of fur and contamination.
Contrary to the initial plan of operating the pools based on reservations, they will now be accessible to all without the need for advanced planning.
