SEOUL, Nov. 24 (Korea Bizwire) – Rapper Psy will reveal part of his upcoming album in a live online broadcast this week, his agency said Tuesday.
The man made popular with the music video of “Gangnam Style” in 2012 will appear on the Naver broadcasting app “V” for six days starting Tuesday, which is a week before the release of his seventh album, YG Entertainment said, adding the broadcasts will start at 11 p.m. Korean time each day.
Psy was last seen with “Hangover,” on which he collaborated with Snoop Dogg. The single, however, was a minor success compared with “Gangnam Style,” as some fans criticized him for forgetting his K-pop roots.
He has entered a period of soul-searching since, with the 37-year-old telling his fans at a year-end concert in 2014 that he will come back with an album that is “more Psy” next time. He even scrapped plans to release a song, “Daddy,” in August last year, citing his dissatisfaction with the song.
His seventh album and its music videos will go online on Tuesday.
Psy is also scheduled to hold concerts in Seoul from Dec. 24-26.’
