YEONGCHEON, Aug. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s second-longest suspension bridge, the Mount Bohyeon Dam Suspension Bridge, located in Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, is set to open on Aug. 30, the municipal government said Monday.
The pedestrian bridge will stretch a total of 530 meters, with the gap between the primary towers spanning an estimated 350 meters.
The main tower boasts a design in the shape of an X, symbolizing a star. Its nighttime illumination creates a scene reminiscent of the Milky Way giving a musical performance alongside the suspension bridge.
Furthermore, the area surrounding the suspension bridge encompasses the Mount Bohyeon Dam Trail and Riverside Square, accompanied by supplementary amenities including an information office and a parking lot.
