SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Korea Bizwire) – Masterpieces like Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night” and Millet’s “The Haymakers” are now available on the art store of Samsung Electronics TV “The Frame”.
All told, 100 masterpieces have been added to the catalogue and can be displayed through the TV’s Art Mode. A monthly subscription fee guarantees access to more that 700 selections through the Art Store, and individual pictures can be purchased outright through a one-time payment.
Similar to a screen saver on a computer monitor, The Frame turns into a literal picture or artwork frame when turned off. The TV is equipped with a sensor that automatically adjusts the color tone in accordance with the brightness of the room, a feature that enables the mastery of the original artwork to be manifested in fine detail.
The Frame was released in June and has served as a unique art distribution platform through partnerships with the Prado Museum in Spain, the Albertina in Austria and other art galleries and museums both domestic and international.
