SEONGNAM, July 28 (Korea Bizwire) — The city government of Seongnam, just south of Seoul, said Thursday it will initiate a paid drone delivery service in August to enhance the convenience of citizens visiting Tancheon Water Park.
Once customers place their orders through the drone app provided by a local dronmaker, the items will be transported to the delivery station within the water park after loading them onto a drone at the drone delivery base in Bundang District.
Delivery of the items will be conducted by dropping them from 2 to 5 meters above the ground, with an estimated delivery time of 5 to 10 minutes.
A variety of items are available for order, including snacks like fried chicken, pizza and coffee, as well as water park supplies and first aid kits.
The delivery fee is set at 3,000 won (US$2.34).
