SEOUL, Aug. 14 (Korea Bizwire) — The sandy areas within the parks along the Han River are poised to transform into beach-like vacation spots, affording visitors the chance to enjoy the refreshing breeze and scenic landscapes while finding relief from the oppressive tropical nights.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Sunday it will establish “beach & rest” zones in the Jamsil, Yeouido, and Yanghwa Han River parks, all of which house sandy sections.
Access to these areas will be complimentary until Sept. 10, and they will be accessible from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Within Jamsil Park, a beach volleyball arena encompassing a 5,300 square meter area now accommodates approximately 40 sunbeds and 20 parasols.
Within Yeouido Park, the city has laid down 113 tons of fresh sand, complete with six sunbeds and three parasols. Yanghwa Park, on the other hand, features 10 sunbeds and five parasols.
