Seoul District to Expand ‘Untact’ Rest Areas Through Public Donations

SEOUL, Sept. 11 (Korea Bizwire)Seoul’s Jongno District Office announced on Thursday that it will set up benches in outdoor areas based on donations from the public.

In response to the increasing demand for so-called ‘untact’ rest areas in the city following the spread of the coronavirus, the new ‘Space For You’ project aims to expand rest areas for local citizens, the elderly, disabled persons, and other vulnerable groups.

Jongno District plans to implement various designs and install benches based on available space and the amount of donations received. Each bench will be inscribed with various quotes requested by donors.
