SEOUL, March 3 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Fire & Disaster Headquarters said Wednesday it has donated all proceeds from the 2022 ‘Firefighters Calendar for Hope,’ along with extra donations, to the Hallym Burn Foundation.
The agency raised a total of 107 million won (US$88,900) from calendar sales, donations from private companies and joint fundraising efforts from the Community Chest of Korea, all of which will be used to treat burn patients from low-income households.
The foundation said that the calendar project has helped a total of 209 burn patients so far.
Around 95,250 calendars have been sold over the last eight years, generating a total of 880 million won for the foundation.
