SEOUL, Jun. 12 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul city government said Wednesday it will host a mask parade this weekend on the Jamsu Bridge after the event was postponed last month due to rain.
The mask parade, hosted as part of the Car-free Jamsugyo Bridge Festival, is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday after it was canceled on Children’s Day due to rain, city officials said.
Participants can march 1.5 kilometers back and forth along the Jamsu Bridge, located on the lower level of the Banpo Bridge, together with a naval band and big-sized dolls.
A 55-member naval band will lead the march, playing trumpets, French horns and tubas, followed by big-sized dolls and Rapercussion, a percussion band.
Anyone wearing a mask can join the parade. They can bring one themselves or make one at a booth set up on the Jamsu Bridge. Masks can also be rented for free, according to city officials.
Following the parade, a classic concert is set to take place at 5 p.m., with jazz band JINS, popera group DIONE and popera duo DUETTO performing on stage.
