SEOUL, Dec. 28 (Korea Bizwire) — Major South Korean lender Shinhan Bank has turned its branch in Sillim-dong, southern Seoul into a so-called ‘digital store’ to better accommodate senior customers.
The branch focused on setting up automated devices and making it easier for senior customers to use them.
The size of the menu button on the machine that issues the waiting number, which is the first device one sees when entering the bank, has been enlarged.
In addition, lines have been painted on the floor in different colors to guide customers to the appropriate cashier.
The automated teller machine (ATM) menu has also been modified to cater to senior needs. The original text has been replaced with easier Korean words for better understanding, with larger font sizes.
