SEOUL, Mar. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – In an exciting collaboration with the automotive lifestyle brand Peaches, Shinsegae Department Store has announced the introduction of Harrington Cars, miniature vehicle models based on iconic designs from renowned automakers like Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari – a first in South Korea.

Harrington Cars are meticulously crafted at half the size of their full-scale counterparts, capturing the essence of classic automobile designs.

Measuring between 2 to 2.5 meters in length and around 1 meter in width, these compact models can accommodate one to two adults, depending on the specific model.

Boasting realistic features such as instrument panels and steering mechanisms, Harrington Cars are equipped with electric motors capable of propelling them at speeds of up to 24 kilometers per hour, allowing for actual driving experiences.

By faithfully replicating classic car designs, these miniature models have garnered significant attention in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, where they are sought after for leisure purposes and by collectors.

Shinsegae Department Store, the exclusive importer of Harrington Cars in South Korea, has partnered with Peaches to host a pop-up exhibition at its Gangnam branch until April 7.

Three distinct models will be showcased and available for purchase: the Mercedes-Benz 300SL, the Jaguar E-Type – praised by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car in history – and the Land Rover Defender, each meticulously scaled down to 50% of their original size.

Visitors to the pop-up will have the opportunity to experience these miniature marvels firsthand, with the ability to sit inside the vehicles and capture memorable photographs.

Shinsegae Department Store has been actively transforming its first-floor “The Stage” area at the Gangnam branch into a dynamic space showcasing pop-up events featuring luxury brands, popular character merchandise, K-pop artist goods, and more.

“Beyond a mere shopping destination, we aim to create a space and content that consistently offers our customers new and surprising experiences,” said Jeong Hoon-chul, the merchandise strategy manager at Shinsegae Department Store.
