SEOUL, Dec. 3 (Korea Bizwire) – The soaring popularity of Volkswagen’s Tiguan has led to increased resale values for the SUV in the second-hand market.
The Tiguan is now the biggest seller among used SUVs, according to SK Encar, Korea’s leading used auto trading company. Until the first half of 2014, the Jeep Wrangler and the Audi Q5 were most popular in the used car market. From August, however, the Tiguan has drawn more attention, with sales up by 1.6 times compared to the previous month.
The high popularity of Volkswagen’s SUV in the new auto market is the prime cause of high demand for used models. The Tiguan has the lowest depreciation rate, at 37.64 percent, among all imported cars in South Korea.
