YONGIN, Dec. 20 (Korea Bizwire) – Fu Bao, the beloved giant panda mascot at Yongin Everland, is savoring her final winter in South Korea. Pandas, known for their thick, long fur, thrive in cold weather, and Fu Bao was no exception.
As the snow gently blanketed the surroundings, Fu Bao gleefully rolled and played in the snow, even adorably sprinkling himself with the accumulated flakes. With a friendly wave to visitors, She showcased her charming personality while munching on bamboo, seemingly unfazed by the snow on her furry body.
Regrettably, this winter marks Fu Bao’s last in South Korea. According to an agreement with China, pandas must return for breeding when they turn four, leaving visitors saddened by the realization that they won’t witness Fu Bao’s winter antics next year.
Fu Bao, born to giant pandas Ai Bao and Le Bao at Yongin Everland on July 20, 2020, stands as a symbol of a natural breeding success story in Korea. In a joyous development this July, Ai Bao and Le Bao welcomed twin panda sisters, making Fu Bao the eldest sister in the Bao family.
