INCHEON, Nov. 1 (Korea Bizwire) – Incheon Metropolitan City recently announced its plans to increase the number of buses equipped with its “Happy Bus Day” recordings from two to eight (bus numbers 46, 22, 14 and 780-1).
On any one of these buses, the typical blaring sound of the stop button will be replaced by pre-recorded words of encouragement for the driver like “You’re super-duper great, Mr. Bus Driver!”
Over 430 students, foreign residents, and office workers lent their voices to the venture. In addition, all 600 students at Hyoseong Boys Elementary School wrote thank you letters to bus drivers.
Various comedians and celebrities also participated in the project, recording funny and heartwarming messages.
“Happy Bus Day” was first started in August for Incheon residents to express gratitude towards their bus drivers.
