SEOUL, Apr. 16 (Korea Bizwire) — A video clip featuring attempts to damage Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge with a knife and hammer is drawing a lot of attention on YouTube. The clip was uploaded on the TechRax channel, which specializes in testing the durability of the latest smartphones.
The clip first shows human hands hitting and scratching a S6 Edge with a knife. An individual strongly hits and scratches the S6 Edge’s aluminum side and tempered glass screen with what looks like a stainless steel knife. Although scratch marks are visible on the side of the phone, the screen survives the attacks.
The next test shows the phone being smashed by a hammer. The screen shatters, however, the phone still functions for calling and typing. The individual then smashes the phone repeatedly. Only after the table supporting the phone breaks does the S6 Edge completely die.
With 1,097,000 views over 10 days, the clip is gaining popularity among netizens curious about the durability of Samsung’s new phone.
