Hotels Resort to Unusual Marketing Strategies to Survive in Pandemic Era

SEOUL, May 20 (Korea Bizwire)Major hotels in South Korea are turning to a variety of rather unusual marketing strategies to attract customers amid the pandemic.

The Millennium Hilton Seoul is offering a 50 percent discount on its lunch buffet for recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine and their companions on weekdays until June 30.

With demand from foreign tourists and businesses plunging, hotels are coming up with various long-term stay packages to attract South Korean customers.

Andaz Seoul Gangnam introduced a long-term stay package for customers booking for longer than seven days, which includes a 35 percent discount for accommodation as well as suite upgrades.

RYSE Autograph Collection introduced a 31-day stay package, offering room cleaning services twice a week. Customers can also bring their pets for the stay.
