SEOUL, May 25 (Korea Bizwire) — K-Beauty is taking things to the next level with a new device that incorporates Internet-of-Things technology.
LG Uplus and furniture company Hanssem have signed a MoU to develop and launch a mirror that analyzes skin condition.
According to an announcement from LG Uplus on May 24, the mirror will be equipped with a high-resolution camera to provide information about skin condition invisible to the naked eye, such as pores, wrinkles and imperfections. Users can activate the mirror simply by looking at it while touching it with their hand.
Users will be also provided with video and magazine content on tailored skin care product collections, based on information collected by the mirrors.
Lee Hae-seong, managing director of LG Uplus, said that the mirror is a home version of expensive skin analysis apparatuses that are usually seen at dermatology clinics. Similar devices will be easily accessed by users in their daily lives through the ‘magic’ mirror.
