LOS ANGELES, Nov. 7 (Korea Bizwire) – Kia Motors showcased two new concept vehicles designed for outdoor enthusiasts at SEMA 2024, the world’s largest automotive customization show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center on November 5.

The two vehicles – the EV9 ADVNTR (Adventure) and PV5 WKNDR (Weekender) – were developed by Kia’s U.S. Design Center as outdoor-focused adaptations of the existing EV9 and PV5 models.

The all-electric EV9 ADVNTR features enhanced off-road capabilities, standing 3 inches taller than the standard EV9 and equipped with robust wheels optimized for rough terrain. Its custom roof rack system can accommodate general cargo and connect to a rooftop tent, making it well-suited for camping adventures.

The PV5 WKNDR concept emphasizes versatility and space utilization. A standout feature is its camping-oriented cooking space, allowing occupants to prepare meals while enjoying outdoor views.

The vehicle is equipped with solar panels and hydro-turbine wheels for battery charging, along with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality that enables the use of external electrical devices.

Under the theme “Beyond Organization,” Kia also introduced various products designed to streamline camping preparation and equipment setup. A notable feature is the “plug and play” system, which utilizes an expandable rail system inside the vehicle for easy storage and organization of camping gear.

SEMA, established in 1967, is an annual automotive trade show that attracts over 140,000 visitors and serves as a platform for showcasing the latest automotive parts, accessories, and customization technologies.
