SEOUL, Dec. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – The building directory of the Seoul landmark Lotte World Tower will soon include “Lotte Museum” along with the Lotte Hotel, office spaces, and various amenities.
The Lotte Museum will be on the 7th floor of the tallest building in the city and will cover 1,320 square meters of floor space. The interior spaces were modestly altered, and the ceiling was slightly raised to accommodate the museum.
The Lotte Foundation for Arts, which commissioned the project, entrusted the design to architect Cho Byeong-soo.
A spokesperson for the foundation said, “Work of artists that show the latest trends in art will be featured [at the Lotte Museum] via special exhibition three times a year. Along with the Lotte Concert Hall, when the Lotte Museum opens its doors, Lotte World Tower will become recognized as a hub for cultural activities.”
Near Lotte World Tower is amusement park Lotte World, one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world. Also in the area is the Charlotte Theater and the Lotte Department Store. Seoul Metro Lines 2 and 8 stop at Jamsil Station, which runs underneath the complex.
