SEOUL, March 6 (Korea Bizwire) — The actors Jung Ji-hoon, better known by his stage name Rain, and Lee Dong-gun have been cast for a new TV series on JTBC, the network said Tuesday.
The duo will appear in the cop series “Sketch” scheduled to be broadcast in May. It will be the second time they have appeared together in a drama following KBS 2TV’s “Sang Doo! Let’s Go To School” in 2003.
Singer-actor Jung, 36, will play Kang Dong-soo, an ace detective armed with excellent intuition and executive ability. Lee, 38, takes the role of Sergeant First Class Kim Do-jin, a member of a special operations command who seeks revenge for the death of his wife.
The Friday-Saturday drama will be preceded by “Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food,” which is set to premiere on March 30 after the mystery romance “Misty” ends.
