SEOUL, Aug. 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Clear your evening schedule for August 11 and 12, as a multitude of evening festivals and activities are slated to open throughout Seoul Plaza and Gwanghwamun Square.
For both dates, a stage will be set up in Seoul Plaza where a diverse group of musical performances will be on display. Starting from six in the evening until eleven-fifteen at night, some of the musicians queued to appear are Kim Ban Jang, Hareem and Cherry Filter.
On August 12, there will be special performances by tango and salsa dancers after the music is done. Onlookers will even get to pick up a few tips from the dancers themselves.
Away from the stage, the city has plans to set up a “healing rest spot”, an “open-air tub” where visitors can dip their feet and “ice walks” where paths will be frozen solid.
At midnight, movies such as “Begin Again” will be shown in different areas of the plaza.
Other fun activities planned are glow-in-the-dark fashion shows and glow-in-the-dark earphone dances that should “lighten” up the night.
In neighboring Gwanghwamun Square, the various embassies of different nations will open up their doors as part of a cultural exhibit. The square will also play host to the Summer Snow event, where a recreation of Seoul in ice will be on display.
A total of 62 museums and art galleries will extend their opening hours until 10 p.m. in accordance with the planned events.
